Here in the heart of Tuscany, the estate of Castelfalfi has always been a simple, traditional paradise. And so it will remain: our restoration is sensitive to every element of the architecture and culture of the area.
As well as restoring the central Borgo, or centre of the estate – which includes the medieval church, the castle (castello) and surrounding farmhouses – we are also building new villas, townhouses and apartments, all laid out across three neighbouring villages, or villaggi.
The borgo and castello will include 41 residential apartments, divided between three buildings, as well as retail and restaurant space.
Spread over 1,100 hectares of Tuscan countryside, the resort will also include two new hotels, a golf course and other sports facilities, as well as a beautiful spa and gym.
Old or new, the buildings will be at one with the traditions of Tuscan architecture. We will employ local craftsmen, with the heritage and skills of the area in their blood, to create authentic, elegant and environmentally sensitive homes. Buildings will be gathered on the hilltops, and scattered more loosely down the slopes, in classic Tuscan style.
Within these traditionally built walls, however, you will discover all the comforts, amenities and services you would expect of a twenty-first century resort, as well as a state-of-the-art infrastructure that minimises the resort’s ecological footprint, and protects the natural balance of this ancient landscape.
